About the Foundation 

Mr. Jorge Daboub 

Member

 

Mr. Jorge Daboub is Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for the Univision Television Group. Mr. Daboub is part of the team that spearheaded the development, launch, and current maintenance of Univision’s Corporate Health Initiative “Salud es Vida, ˇEntérate!” (Lead a Healthy Life, Get the Facts). The multi-channel campaign has received numerous recognitions, including the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, a Congressional Commendation on the Congressional Record, and many others.

In addition to being a trustee of the board of the Pan American Health and Education Foundation, Mr. Daboub also serves on the American Diabetes' “Latino Diabetes Action Council” (LDAC); as an Advisory Board Member of the NCLR/CSULB Center for Latino Community Health Evaluation and Leadership Training; as a member of Merrill Lynch’s Hispanic Advisory Council; and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Forsyth Health Foundation. Mr. was also a panelist expert on the Hispanic market for the Federal Trade Commission’s Food Marketing to Kids workshop; the Bi-national Symposium on Obesity hosted by the University of California, Office of the President and the Mexican Government; the California Governor’s Summit on Health, Nutrition and Obesity, the Institute of Medicine’s Symposium - “Progress in Prevention of Childhood Obesity: Focus on Industry”, and Mental Health Care Disparities for UC Davis.

Mr. Daboub, a native of Mexico City, earned his Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada. 

Mr. Daboub joined the board of trustees of the Pan American Health and Education Foundation in 2007.

Mr. Daboub signed a conflict of interest statement and agrees to abide by PAHEF's conflict of interest policy.
