From November 14 to 17, the Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF) sponsored and participated in the VIII Pan-American Congress on Healthcare-Associated Infections and I Bolivian Congress on Healthcare-Associated Infections, which were simultaneously held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. PAHEF’s support of the Congresses, which were hosted by the Bolivian Association of Hospital Epidemiology and Control of Healthcare-Associated Infections (Asociación Boliviana de Epidemiología Hospitalaria y Control de Infecciones Asociadas a Servicios de Salud), was made possible through a grant from a fund created by the generosity of the People of Taiwan. This support was a natural extension of PAHEF’s previous efforts and has further helped establish it as a recognized leader in this field in Latin America and the Caribbean.
