Harold Hamana is senior vice president Latin America at Edelman Latin America and heads the company's regional operation in Miami, focusing on strategic planning and marketing communications initiatives for clients in the U.S. Hispanic and Latin America markets.
Previously, Mr. Hamana was the director of the healthcare practice at Burson-Marsteller Latin America. There, he provided communications, public affairs, and crisis management counsel for a diverse group of Fortune 500 clients.
He has played a critical role in developing regional and global business relationships, particularly as client leader for companies in the healthcare and financial sectors, by designing and implementing communications, corporate positioning, corporate social responsibility, and media relations campaigns. For these, he has been merited with multiple industry awards, among them: PR Week and the Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media Relations.
Mr. Hamana holds a master of arts in communications and public relations from the University of Miami, a master of arts in organizational communications, and a bachelor of arts in mass communication from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.
