Donate to World Health Day Efforts

World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Each year a theme is selected for World Health Day that highlights a priority area of public health concern in the world. The theme for 2013 is high blood pressure.

In a pressure filled planet, World Health Day reminds us that we must balance our lives…and our philanthropy. PAHEF has embarked on bold, new initiatives and hopes you’ll join us. Over the next two years, we want to raise funds to support projects that improve the public heath of ALL people in the Americas. Money raised will be allocated for grants and programs in late 2013/early 2014.

In addition to helping our colleagues at PAHO, we are committed to the following programmatic areas:

  • Child and Maternal Health
  • Indigenous Health
  • Healthcare Associated Infection Control
  • Neglected Tropical/Infectious Diseases
  • Violence Prevention
  • Non-Communicable Diseases
