Hoy Por Haiti

Water is a vital necessity: drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. Imagine trying to survive for even one day without it. The World Health Organization reported in 2009 that 45% of Haitians did not have access to drinking water. That number has risen since the destruction caused by the earthquake which left hundreds of thousands displaced and homeless.

haiti-waterHelp PAHEF display solidarity with Haiti by making a donation which will be used to purchase and install water pumps in the areas most affected by a lack of clean and safe water. The International Water & Youth Movement, which is composed of over 350 young people from more than 50 countries, is mobilizing a call to action in the Region to aid more than 38,000 Haitians in desperate need of clean water.

Numerous activities will be carried out in Latin America for World Water Day on March 22, 2010, to raise awareness and support Haitians living without access to drinking water. Your donation to the Hoy por Haiti Fund will help rebuild the lives of those left without this fundamental resource.
