“Our goal must be a world in which good health is a pillar of individual well-being, national progress, and international stability and peace. This cannot be achieved without partnerships involving governments, international organizations, the business community, and civil society.”

— Kofi A. Annan, ex-Secretary-General of the United Nations

Make A Difference

The board of trustees and staff of the Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF) salute the hard work and dedication of US federal employees.

Your generosity as expressed through your contribution to the annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) helps those who are in need.

Please be a star in the lives of the people of the Americas and select PAHEF (#12131) as your choice for the 2008 CFC.

Since 1968, the foundation has worked to improve the health of the people of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Because of our successes we see the possibilities and the future looks healthy. Yet, much remains to be done:

  • Each year 140,000 children under age 5 die from preventable causes
  • Nearly 100 million people lack regular access to health care services
  • One in 10 babies is at risk of dying due to low birth weight

The Pan American Health and Education Foundation is a US public charity working to:

  • Fight disease
  • Expand access to health care
  • Improve nutrition & reduce child obesity
  • Promote healthy aging
  • Decrease maternal & infant mortality
  • Advance training for health care workers

PAHEF works in close partnership with the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization.

Together we can make a healthy future for Latin America and the Caribbean.

When you select PAHEF (#12131) as your choice, you’re playing a starring role in improving health in the Americas!
